I was tortured, seriously!

I was tortured, seriously!

For a while now, I’ve had these bumps on my arms and my skin keeps breaking out over my body. It’s like chest acne but it’s always on my underarm area and sometimes on my chest area. Since I am getting married in like 10 days, I decided I should go visit my doctor about all of this. I also had a skin tag under my arm I wanted removed and was hoping she could put a stitch around it so it could easily fall off painlessly.

The bumps on my arms I’ve had for a long time and my past two doctors could never figure out what was wrong with me. They just kept putting me on antibiotics that caused me to gain weight profusely. So when my doctor took the scope/light thing they use to look in your ears, nose, and throat, I was quite surprised and feeling a little more confident about my doctor’s abilities. She actually looked into the bumps in my arms and told me I had this skin problem that causes my glands to get clogged and the itching/pain gets worse for the bumps when I get hot because my glands are so clogged that they can’t sweat. I was like holy cow, that totally makes sense! So now I have a shampoo to use on my whole body and then a lotion to put on my arms. She said the shampoo should unclog all my glands and put my skin back in tip top shape. I was very relieved because I don’t want to walk down the aisle with blotchy arms.

Next came my doctor talking about my skin tag under my arm. I seriously thought she’d put a stitch around it and then it’d just fall off on its own. Oh no, I was completely wrong. She told me she could cut it off and it wouldn’t hurt. Hey, no pain and it gets off immediately .. I’m all there. Damn, she was so wrong. It hurt so bad it’s not funny. First off, she used surgical scissors but she couldn’t get it all off with one snip so she had to go snip snip and then it was off. The first snip was painful enough but the second one about killed me. After it was cut off, blood started gushing out of the wound like someone was squeezing a lemon. That made me woozy and feeling a little sick because I didn’t want to bleed out. She put some stuff on there to make it stop bleeding but that didn’t work so she wanted to use Nitrate sticks. Holy crap, those things hurt seriously. I literally came up off the chair when she kept putting one on my wound. She had to go through five sticks before my arm would stop bleeding. Once it stopped I thought I’d have no more pain but I was wrong since she took this huge sticky bandage and covered my whole under arm. I didn’t think anything about it until we started trying to take it off five hours later. I definitely know I have a patch of no hair where the bandage was. I was crying a little when we took the bandage off but that wasn’t even the most painful part either. The most painful part was trying to get all the adhesive off that the bandage left. In fact, I still have adhesive on my arm because there was so much left on there and it didn’t want to come off. Ugh.

Hopefully since I am about to hop in the bath that all the adhesive will come off. All I know is that it hurts when your arm keeps sticking to the side of your body especially since its the under part of my arm and that is the most sensitive! I will definitely be rethinking having something else removed from my body but I do know it was worth it in the end. Now I can dance at my wedding and have fun without fearing that my skin tag will be in photos or somebody will say something about it! I now have a smooth arm and am glad! Well, I need to hop in the tub so I can go run errands with my mom. We have a lot to do so I will blog later. Until next time, later loves!

Ready to grow up!

Ready to grow up!

I have just kind of had it with everything going on. I am so ready for May 1st to get here and be completely over. I can’t believe everything I have to do before the big day. I honestly thought that before the wedding I’d have a little breathing room since I have already booked all the vendors but every day something else seems to creep up on me. Seriously, when will it end? I want to be over this and be worrying about term life insurance or some other adult-like concern instead of the color of tablecloths and etc. Two weeks and counting!

There will be a day

There will be a day

This week has been one big blur. I’m so exhausted from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life and last minute wedding details. Honestly, I don’t know how my best friend plans weddings for a living, I mean seriously! We have now officially placed a rental order for all of my linens and candelabras. It was so weird being at the rental place because all around you there were tractors, lawn mowers, spa covers, and tools while in the middle there was this little tent set up with three tables showing different table cloths and then a small room that looked like a bridal magazine threw up in it. There was so much toil and froo-frooness that I was seriously getting nauseous! Thank God that is all over and done with. Now, I need to run some more errands and get more stuff done. I can’t wait until I have some time to just rest.

Productiveness Update!

Productiveness Update!

After my endless searching yesterday, I had to stop at Dollar General to get some mailers to send off my books for PaperbackSwap. By this time, I was feeling down on my luck because we had no luck in finding a box of flower seeds. I was on the verge of panicking because this was supposed to be our favors for the wedding. So as I was perusing Dollar General, guess what I found!?! FLOWER SEEDS IN A BOX! I literally jumped up and down and did my happy dance in the middle of the store. I’m sure people thought I was some crazy person and were praying I had Blue Advantage so I could immediately be taken to the hospital and get my head checked, but I was just a happy bride who had finally found her flower seeds. They also were just $2/box so that made me even happier and I immediately loaded up my buggy with five boxes, lol. Just for picture goodness, here is my knight in shining armor so to speak for the wedding:

It’s time for healing

It’s time for healing

I am seriously in love with the band Sanctus Real because their songs have greatly influenced my good mood currently. Their songs captivate my exact feelings without me having to write them down myself. It’s so nice to find a band that is able to make you feel normal so to speak and that has music that you can listen to and instantly feel mellowed out. I love it.

Today is Friday and I can’t believe this week has gone by so fast. I have so much to do. It is three weeks until our wedding. Oh my God. Can you believe that? I’m seriously freaking out right now you have no idea. I am just so overwhelmed and excited all in one. I have waited for this day to come for the rest of my life and can’t believe that it is only three weeks away.

In other news, we are headed out to go to Walmart today to finally finish our registry. I believe my family is throwing me a bridal shower in two weeks and since everyone is going to want to know what we want or need, a registry is a lot quicker than listing things, lol. I mean, it’s not like we expect a gold bullion or whatever but we do know that our families are surrounding us with love and trying to help give us a nest egg of items to use once we begin our marriage together. Well, I really should say my mom’s side of the family because his family and my dad’s family haven’t offered to do anything for us which is fine because I don’t care anymore. I’m just glad to know that my mom’s family is supporting us wholeheartedly and have welcomed Jonathan into our family with open arms!! So I better hop in the shower and get dressed so we can hurry and leave! I’ve already wasted half the day away! So until next time, later loves.
