Exhaustion at its best
To say I am exhausted is quite the underestimate of how I feel after a week full of classes. When signing up for my classes this semester, I never realized how tired and burnt out I would be. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to school from 11:15AM until 6:15PM. I only have a 30 minute break in between the two classes I take back to back. Any other time, I would not have taken the classes back to back but I had to this time so I would graduate on time. My back is also killing me from having to take two notebooks, three textbooks, a lunch box, and other odds and ends to school everyday. I swear, I need one of those Osprey Backpacks to hold all of my stuff! Even though this semester is hectic, I cannot wait to graduate and move on to West Georgia. I am so psyched about that.
Read MoreAnnoying professors
There is one thing that I really despise in a professor and that is a professor who skips around from subject to subject and does not believe in helping their students. Our professor assigned sections 1.1 and 1.2 for homework over the weekend. When I sat down to do my homework, I noticed that every problem we went over in class last week was not on the homework. He could have been teaching about a petroleum hose for all the good his teaching did for me in regards to homework. In class today, he informed us that his theory with math is that we need to learn for ourselves because that is how you learn problem solving skills. I understand all of that and everything but he could have explained some problems on our homework. I do like this class since I really didn’t have too much trouble on the homework but a lot of people were upset in my class. I understand we are in college and need to develop better problem solving skills but it would be nice if he would have told us that before. Some people learn by example and he as a professor should realize that. Maybe that is just my two cents but that is still annoying none the less. How do you feel about my professor’s attitude towards teaching material and homework?

Hysteria
There is a Winter Storm Watch issued for my area. I find it completely humorous how when there is any chance of snow people get into a tizzy over being prepared for the storm. Snow freaks everyone out to the point our Walmart has been crowded all day. My sister works at a grocery store and called a few minutes ago to tell me that they have been slammed all day and are now out of almost everything. The sad thing is my mom and I need to run to the store and get a few last minute things just in case things do get bad. The weatherman has predicted a storm as bad as the blizzard we had back in 1993. I do not want a blizzard but it would be nice for school to be canceled part of next week since I start back Monday, heh.

College wear
Have you ever noticed how casual college students are? I start out at the beginning of the semester wearing nice, put together outfits only to end the semester wearing nothing but tee-shirts and running shorts. Seriously, I love my tee shirts and it is too big of a hassle to worry about dressing my best every day. I have always thought of myself to have a great sense of style, especially for my size, but here lately I don’t even care. I think I have too much to worry about to spend extra time obsessing over what I wear to school, ya know? Hopefully I am not alone on the casual front.

I need practice
I know, it’s been forever since I posted an e-mail and I deeply apologize for that. I have been so busy with school, my birthday, Grayson, and evidently a horrible two-week case of sinusitis. Lovely me, huh? I have been very busy in school preparing for the GACE test. In order to get my Associates’ and Bachelors’ Degrees, I have to take and successfully pass the GACE. The hard part is trying to find a GACE practice test site. I know there are plenty of people who are going to school to be teachers and the fact that you can’t find a practice test for the exit exam is very sad. I can find SAT sample practice tests and even a gmat prep test but nothing for the GACE. Hopefully my adviser can recommend some test prep sites in order for me to get prepared for the test. I am not spending $130 to register to take the test just to fail!
