I can has, please?
I am in desperate need of a new laptop. Mine has been taken over by my mom. She decided to take my laptop over because after I tried to restore her’s back to factory settings it decided to crap out. I have contacted a few places to get her laptop fixed at so now I am just waiting until I have the funds on hand. So in the meantime, I have been checking out the top netbooks since I could use one for work and school. I need something that I can take anywhere and work on my articles with. All I really need is the internet and Microsoft Word to do all my work. Hopefully, I will find a great deal soon. In the meantime, I will stick to my desktop.

Saving money is my hobby
My mom recently decided that she wanted to save money on her monthly bills. One way to do so was to swap insurance carriers. We pay more than anyone we know for our car insurance which is crazy. After looking up and researching various auto insurance reviews, we made a decision to swap to a cheaper company that actually offered more than our current provider. They have better customer service so far as well which I am stoked about. I noticed I made an error when signing up and they immediately fixed the problem and were very courteous in doing so. I used to hate calling our previous provider so better customer service is always a plus.

Grown Up Business
My hubby and I recently went to talk to someone about planning for our future. We have been looking into life insurance and planning for the what if’s in life. I usually find preparing for your untimely death to be a little on the morbid side but considering we have Gray, it needed to be done. The adviser was really nice as went over what is term life insurance to make sure we fully understood the options we had to choose from with different plans. In fact, we have a whole lot of research to do on our own before making a decision. I guess times like this make me feel so grown up. I want to be prepared for whatever life throws at us which is one reason we made the advisement appointment. Do you prepare for the future?

Can’t wait!
One thing I am absolutely looking forward to is decorating our future house. Now that we have been talking about getting our own house, I have bookmarked all kinds of do-it-yourself blogs. I am in love with the idea of taking something old and refinishing it. I love contemporary furniture but I do not love the price of it so why not make the furniture I have or can find cheaply into my own version of contemporary furniture? I am thrifty and economical which you have to be in the current economic crisis we have going on right now.

Thank God for small miracles
I have been under a lot of stress lately. I have been stress eating like no other. My clothes are still loose but I am sure it is only a matter of time before I gain a pound or two. Thank God my face has not started breaking out. The day I have to start looking for acne treatments that work will be the day I go crazy. With a little bit of motivation and “me” time I can hopefully squash some of this stress. I just need a little bit of me time and some good ole exercise. Ya’ll wish me luck!

Addictions are not easy
I seriously believe one cannot judge another for being overweight or obese until they are in their shoes. Food addiction is something that is very hard to overcome. I should know. I suffer from this on a daily basis. It is not like a regular addiction since if I was addicted to pills or something, I could go through a hydrocodone vicodin addiction detox and be done with it. With my addiction, I am addicted to something I have to have on a daily basis in order to survive. Hopefully, with motivation and determination, I can overcome this addiction. I look forward to the days where I do not have to worry about food.

The Finance/Future Talk
Ever since deciding on getting a house, my hubby and I have been taking a gander at our finances. In fact, this has given him a push to decide what he wants to do with his life which makes me thrilled! He has so many options and I know he can do whatever he puts his mind to. I am so glad my husband has motivation. He has actually taken an interest in real estate and flipping houses. I seriously think he wants to go to school for business and then go from there. He does have a great business sense and anyone can tell that just by talking one on one with him. I am just glad he is actually thinking realistically instead of setting his mind on production jobs which are not available in our area. We live in a rural area so the job he decides on should be available here. He knows that and is looking for a realistic future job. I am so excited about the possibilities and opportunities we both have in store for us with our future. All I know is that it will be an amazing future because we both are hard workers and want the best for ourselves, Gray, and our future kids!
