Saturday 6: Holiday Destinations

Saturday 6: Holiday Destinations

I’m always on the outlook for new meme’s so when I came across Saturday Six, I thought why not! So here is last week’s Saturday Six.

Name 6 of your favourite holiday destinations and why?

  • Gulf Shores, AL: I absolutely loved my trip to Gulf Shores. It is peaceful there and not really a crowded place. I love how pretty the ocean is and how clean the beaches were. I am definitely a Gulf girl!
  • Savannah, GA: Savannah is the one place I would so move to. I love how Southern it is and how beautiful the city is. I could literally move there and spend years exploring the city because there is just so much to do there. I also love the history of the city. I guess you could say I have a thing for Spanish moss.
  • Disney in Orlando, FL: I don’t remember much about going there since I was so young but I do remember having a great time which is why I am going back there this year! I love me some Mickey and Minnie!!
  • Gatlinburg, TN: We go here almost every year. I love all the little shops and to go when the leaves change. It is so beautiful and breathtaking if you go all the way up to the top of the mountain!
  • Myrtle Beach, NC: I love the beach and this beach was so different than the Gulf of Mexico. I love how there is so much to do and so many places to have fun!
  • Panama City, FL: How can I not list the Redneck Riviera!? Even though I don’t like the actual strip in PCB, I do like going there and staying on the outskirts of the city for a good time!
  • This post so makes me realize how bad I need a vacation!!!

I’m a junior mechanic!

I’m a junior mechanic!

Ever since I got my car when I was 18, I’ve noticed that having a car and maintaining its upkeep is a lot of work. Maybe my upkeep is a lot of work because my car is a ‘92 and I love in a small town but I don’t think it would matter even if you were to look for San Diego auto repair. Finding an auto shop is always a daunting task because you really never know what you are getting yourself into. I guess since I am a female I find the task even harder because I know how some mechanics like to take advantage of females. Just because I am a girl doesn’t mean I don’t know what to do about my car.

My brother, dad, and step-dad have always found it important for me to know how to fix my car if the need arises. My husband also has taught me how to change my tire and an easier way to check my oil. My car’s dipstick is very hard to read since it is not flat so I can never tell where the oil is at on it. Before my dad let me borrow his Ford F-150, he had to give me a crash course in what to do if I had a problem and how to change it’s tire and all that jazz. So now if I am ever out by myself and something like my oil light or my check engine light comes on, I now know what to do instead of freaking out like most people would.

I am a firm believer in it pays for women to know what to do about their car and how to fix certain situations. I am thankful that the men in my life realize I am a strong, capable female and have been supportive in teaching me about my car and how to maintain it. It makes me feel self sufficient which I believe everyone should be.

That’s My Answer

That’s My Answer

That’s My Answer: Do you make your bed after you get up?

That would be a negative, chief. I wake up with the best of intentions but once I wake up and realize all the things I need to do immediately once getting out of bed, those intentions go right out the window. I actually only sleep under a top sheet and Jonathan only sleeps under the comforter so as long as the bottom sheet is on correctly, I don’t care about making the bed at all!!

Hubby changes his mind 24/7

Hubby changes his mind 24/7

My husband has been whining about an xbox 360 since we met so on Valentine’s Day of this year that is just what he got. He was so excited and happy when I presented him with the gift that I seriously think he had a man-gasm over the game. So since he has had the 360 for a while, he now has his sights set on a ps3. Seriously? Why can’t guys ever stick with one game console instead of having to move on to bigger and better? If I knew he wanted a ps3, I would have got it for him for Valentine’s Day instead of the stupid xbox 360 because I am definitely a ps3 type of girl! I swear, I can’t win for losing!

I’m so sluggish

I’m so sluggish

Grayson has been with us since Monday and I’ve noticed that I have been extremely tired. I’ve been extremely tired period these past few weeks. My mom suggested that I start taking multiple vitamins like Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C so it will boost my immune system since I get sick a lot during the summer with my allergies. Hopefully with the added effects of the vitamins I will be feeling a lot better!!

Time to cram!

Time to cram!

School has officially started back. It started on Monday and evidently tomorrow, I have a test in my Nutrition class. It turns out the test is over three chapters and our study guide alone is over fifty pages. I really think I am going to fail big time but hopefully I can get some study time in today among other things I need to get done. So no random googling things like spirometers for me. Oh well, at least this time next year I will have my Associate’s Degree. I have truly worked my butt off for this degree and cannot wait to walk across the stage!
