Wedding Bells
One of my childhood friends is getting married. This would be my childhood friend who is very artsy and crafty. In fact, she is planning on doing everything for her wedding herself. That is quite ambitious if you ask me. I attempted this with my wedding but between school and life in general it just did not happen. I had to have outside help. My friend is even talking about making her own wedding dress out of vintage material and re-purposing this gown she found at a thrift store. I’m telling you, she is very crafty. I love going in her house and seeing all of the things she has re-purposed and redesigned. She puts a whole new meaning to the word shabby chic. The only thing she told me she was not doing herself was their wedding band. She plans on ordering them both artcarved wedding bands. Seriously? Art-carved? Does that not scream crafty or what? I’m so excited for my friend and I cannot wait to attend her wedding to see everything she has come up with. It definitely will be totally unique!

Christmas Deals
It is no secret that my husband and I are far from rich. Ever since we moved to a bigger house, our bills have been more expensive every month. Since the holidays are vastly approaching, we are trying to scramble to buy Christmas gifts. The thing I love about Christmas is the look on everyone’s faces when they open the perfect gift. Having a two year old to buy and play Santa for has threw a monkey wrench in our Christmas plans as far as buying for everyone else, too. So this year due to financial issues, we have decided to just buy for Grayson since that is all we can afford. Even though we are telling everyone that, I am going to get my mom a little something special for all the help she has given us these past few months. Thank God for pottery barn coupons because I found the perfect gift for her there and add the coupon in and I’m getting a really great deal! What are you doing this holiday season to save money?

No time for the weary
I have been swamped with school as of lately. I go to school Mondays and Wednesdays and feel like it takes the rest of the week for me to complete all of my assignments and study. I am so bogged down by school and exhausted it is not even funny. I am so ready to just give it all up but I keep telling myself that I can get through this. I can do this. I am strong and able to overcome anything. So far, this has really helped me but I do miss those days of sitting around and doing nothing. I had so much time on my hands that I would google random things such as usb barcode scanner or what not just to pass the time. Now, I’m lucky if I can google anything since I’m always glued to my textbooks. Ahh, I cannot wait for this semester to be over. I am so counting down the days!

Why Verizon, Why!?
For the past month and a half, my cell service has drastically gotten worse in our apartment. I used to have signal everywhere in our home. Now, when I am sitting at the computer I barely have service. It is very annoying when I am trying to hold a conversation and look up something on the internet at the same time. Because of this, I’ve been looking into getting a mobile cell booster for my phone. I figured this would be a great way to get better service without buying a whole new phone until I have the money to upgrade. I really want the iPhone but I plan on waiting until my birthday to purchase it for myself. I’m going on vacation in August so that took away my extra money! Hopefully on vacation I will have good service as well after my booster gets here!

Growing Pains
We are certainly having growing pains in our because as Grayson grows, we find our apartment is packed to the max. Jonathan has also decided that his truck isn’t very useful for us anymore. He needs something that is extended cab to fit all of us comfortably plus anyone else who might be with us at the time as well. He has been looking at a lot of fuller size trucks and has picked his top three. With that said, the price of insurance is also a deciding factor. Thank God for www.wholesaleinsurance.net where we have found tons of cheap insurance policies that give us more bang for our buck. It has really helped decipher between which truck would be best for our family based upon insurance cost as well as how gas efficient the vehicle is as well.

Summer Accessories
One thing I love about going to school this summer semester is that I have dressed a lot better and nicer than I have any other semester. I don’t know what it is about summer styles but they suit my personality so well. I love to mix and match bright prints together. My husband assumed I was trying to impress someone, lol. Not hardly, hunny, I just like to look well. Plus, I have a lot more summer clothes than I do winter clothes. I also am crazy about the accessories for summer. I love wearing brightly colored necklaces and bracelets. I also am in love with my new jelly watch with rhinestones around the face of the watch. I swear, this is my all time favorite watch and I plan on getting a white and zebra one as well. The only downside is that my battery went out in my watch. I have to buy some button batteries to replace the watch battery but the Dollar Store by my house didn’t have any so that will have to wait until the weekend. I swear, if the Dollar Store doesn’t sell something I need throughout the week, I just don’t get it because I don’t have time to go anywhere else with my crazy schedule. I can’t wait to get the battery replaced so I can start wearing my watch again!

Exhaustion at its best
To say I am exhausted is quite the underestimate of how I feel after a week full of classes. When signing up for my classes this semester, I never realized how tired and burnt out I would be. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to school from 11:15AM until 6:15PM. I only have a 30 minute break in between the two classes I take back to back. Any other time, I would not have taken the classes back to back but I had to this time so I would graduate on time. My back is also killing me from having to take two notebooks, three textbooks, a lunch box, and other odds and ends to school everyday. I swear, I need one of those Osprey Backpacks to hold all of my stuff! Even though this semester is hectic, I cannot wait to graduate and move on to West Georgia. I am so psyched about that.
