Finally found it!

Finally found it!

After searching endlessly for canon batteries, I finally found the battery I was looking for which fits my sister’s digital camera. She has not been able to use it since Thanksgiving because something happened to her battery. I do not know if it just is a dud or what happened but it will not charge for some reason so she needed a completely new battery. She has not had the money to buy one since she has been saving all her money for other people’s Christmas. Well, thankfully I found it and with a charge for overnight shipping, I should have it tomorrow in time to wrap for Beth to open it Christmas morning. :) I know she is going to love it and thank God for my mad internet searching skills!

Wedding Bells

Wedding Bells

One of my childhood friends is getting married. This would be my childhood friend who is very artsy and crafty. In fact, she is planning on doing everything for her wedding herself. That is quite ambitious if you ask me. I attempted this with my wedding but between school and life in general it just did not happen. I had to have outside help. My friend is even talking about making her own wedding dress out of vintage material and re-purposing this gown she found at a thrift store. I’m telling you, she is very crafty. I love going in her house and seeing all of the things she has re-purposed and redesigned. She puts a whole new meaning to the word shabby chic. The only thing she told me she was not doing herself was their wedding band. She plans on ordering them both artcarved wedding bands. Seriously? Art-carved? Does that not scream crafty or what? I’m so excited for my friend and I cannot wait to attend her wedding to see everything she has come up with. It definitely will be totally unique!

No time for the weary

No time for the weary

I have been swamped with school as of lately. I go to school Mondays and Wednesdays and feel like it takes the rest of the week for me to complete all of my assignments and study. I am so bogged down by school and exhausted it is not even funny. I am so ready to just give it all up but I keep telling myself that I can get through this. I can do this. I am strong and able to overcome anything. So far, this has really helped me but I do miss those days of sitting around and doing nothing. I had so much time on my hands that I would google random things such as usb barcode scanner or what not just to pass the time. Now, I’m lucky if I can google anything since I’m always glued to my textbooks. Ahh, I cannot wait for this semester to be over. I am so counting down the days!

I can has, please?

I can has, please?

I am in desperate need of a new laptop. Mine has been taken over by my mom. She decided to take my laptop over because after I tried to restore her’s back to factory settings it decided to crap out. I have contacted a few places to get her laptop fixed at so now I am just waiting until I have the funds on hand. So in the meantime, I have been checking out the top netbooks since I could use one for work and school. I need something that I can take anywhere and work on my articles with. All I really need is the internet and Microsoft Word to do all my work. Hopefully, I will find a great deal soon. In the meantime, I will stick to my desktop.

Annoying professors

Annoying professors

There is one thing that I really despise in a professor and that is a professor who skips around from subject to subject and does not believe in helping their students. Our professor assigned sections 1.1 and 1.2 for homework over the weekend. When I sat down to do my homework, I noticed that every problem we went over in class last week was not on the homework. He could have been teaching about a petroleum hose for all the good his teaching did for me in regards to homework. In class today, he informed us that his theory with math is that we need to learn for ourselves because that is how you learn problem solving skills. I understand all of that and everything but he could have explained some problems on our homework. I do like this class since I really didn’t have too much trouble on the homework but a lot of people were upset in my class. I understand we are in college and need to develop better problem solving skills but it would be nice if he would have told us that before. Some people learn by example and he as a professor should realize that. Maybe that is just my two cents but that is still annoying none the less. How do you feel about my professor’s attitude towards teaching material and homework?

Eczema maybe?

Eczema maybe?

I have a place on my wrist that has been bothering for a while. At first, I thought it might be eczema, but after consulting with my mom, I think it might be a callous of some sort. No matter what it is, I really wish it would go away. I hate it and now it is so big I can’t hide if by wearing a bracelet anymore like I used to. I have tried scrubbing the area with a loofa in hopes of getting the dry skin off and even applied every moisturizer known to mankind. I have no clue what to do except talk to my doctor at my next appointment which will not be until February. Hopefully she can figure out what this place is and recommend a solution for fixing it.
