The Aftermath

Last week there were a bunch of bad storms that ripped their way through most of the Southeast. Hundreds of homes were destroyed and even more were damaged. People have lost everything they ever owned with the exception of the clothes on their backs. Aside from that, thousands are left without power as well. All of this brings me horrible memories of the tornado in 94. I know how the victims of these storms feel because I have experienced the same thing. Even though all of this has happened, I am proud to be a Southerner because we have pulled together to help those in need. So many people have been donating clothes, food, medical equipment, and baby items to those in need. Aside from donations, people have congregated together to help those in need by volunteering to help clean up. Every day I am even more amazed at how well people come together in times of need.
