Annoying professors
There is one thing that I really despise in a professor and that is a professor who skips around from subject to subject and does not believe in helping their students. Our professor assigned sections 1.1 and 1.2 for homework over the weekend. When I sat down to do my homework, I noticed that every problem we went over in class last week was not on the homework. He could have been teaching about a petroleum hose for all the good his teaching did for me in regards to homework. In class today, he informed us that his theory with math is that we need to learn for ourselves because that is how you learn problem solving skills. I understand all of that and everything but he could have explained some problems on our homework. I do like this class since I really didn’t have too much trouble on the homework but a lot of people were upset in my class. I understand we are in college and need to develop better problem solving skills but it would be nice if he would have told us that before. Some people learn by example and he as a professor should realize that. Maybe that is just my two cents but that is still annoying none the less. How do you feel about my professor’s attitude towards teaching material and homework?

Rainy Days
Today has been a dark, rainy day. There is something about gloomy days that just brings out the gloom and doom in each of us. Everyone was trekking back and forth from building to building today either one of three ways. Either people had an umbrella and were walking slow while enjoying the rain, walking from building to building in their neos overshoes or other rainboots, or they were running from building to building while jumping to avoid puddles. Which category did I fall in? I ran because I wore flip flops. I was at my mom’s house and I either had to choose between flip flops or Birkenstocks and no offense but I was not going to ruin my Birkenstocks in this weather! I really need to invest in a cute pair of rainboots!

Choices Define Us
I remember a while back I was trying to contemplate where I saw myself in terms of what my major should be. I was weighing back and forth whether to enroll in a massage therapy program or go where I am now to major in Early Childhood Education. I was thinking of becoming a massage therapist since I saw first hand how it could help patients in terms of rehab from traumatic injuries such as with my mom and her car wreck. I also could see myself being a teacher since I love children. In the end, Early Childhood Education won since the thought of giving massages to complete strangers really grossed me out. I am weird about being all touchy feely with strangers so I knew that massage therapy was not the program of choice for me.

Thanks Price Scanner!
I love my Android phone because I love having access to numerous free apps at my fingertips. I have downloaded so many apps it isn’t funny, but my fave app has got to be Price Scanner. This app uses my phone’s camera to act as a barcode scanner and scans the barcode of a certain item and then displays the item details as well as where to buy said item online for the cheapest price. First off, I am a college student, newlywed, and just move out on my own so money is tight. With Price Scanner, I find the lowest price which is definitely a perk to me. I don’t have a lot of extra money so if it is willing to find the cheapest price without me having to do anything in return, I am all for that. Also, I like how it shows me both online prices and the prices at certain stores around my phone’s GPS locations. So not only do I have the option to buy online, I also can go to a store near me and get said item as well. I love my Android phone!!

Eczema maybe?
I have a place on my wrist that has been bothering for a while. At first, I thought it might be eczema, but after consulting with my mom, I think it might be a callous of some sort. No matter what it is, I really wish it would go away. I hate it and now it is so big I can’t hide if by wearing a bracelet anymore like I used to. I have tried scrubbing the area with a loofa in hopes of getting the dry skin off and even applied every moisturizer known to mankind. I have no clue what to do except talk to my doctor at my next appointment which will not be until February. Hopefully she can figure out what this place is and recommend a solution for fixing it.
