The Perfect Gift
There is one mission I have been on lately and that is to find Christmas gifts for the family. My family does not have the means to buy such elaborate gifts like we have in the past, but that does not mean we cannot give gifts anyways. Since everyone has been effected by the recession, it just means that it takes a little more time to find the perfect gift. I have become a big fan of the personalized Christmas gifts this year since it will remind us of this Christmas for years to come. We will all look back and remember that it was not the money that was spent that made the Christmas, it was the feelings everyone had surrounding the holiday. We have grown a lot closer as a family and I cannot wait to celebrate that special day with them. I also cannot wait to see Grayson’s face light up when he opens his presents. It is the season for giving, but more than that, it is the season of family and unconditional love.

Flower Power
I have always gotten my mom flowers for the major holidays. There is just something about having a fresh bouquet of flowers displayed on our dining room table that makes dinners seem that much better. I love how flowers can brighten up any room no matter what the weather is like outside. Even though I am a big flower buyer, I also am a big fan of shopping for the best deal. Even though I am always looking for better deals, it does not mean I care any less about the receiver of the gift. In such a rough economy, I think it is important to look for thoughtful yet reasonable gifts and that is definitely how the internet gives me that advantage.

Upgrade Time
It is almost that time of year when we get to upgrade our cellphones. This is always a very methodical time for me since I believe in doing research to see what phone meets all of my cellular needs. I have been weighing back in forth between an iphone and an android. The iPhone has so much to offer as does the android. The one thing I really like about the iPhone is that it has numerous applications and can go beyond just a cellphone. One of my friends has one and since it is finally coming to Verizon, I think I will be the proud owner of an iphone soon!

DIY
The one decision I am so thankful I made in regards to my wedding is that I made the invitations myself. I think do-it-yourself invitations had flare and personalization to your invites whether it be wedding invitations, birthday party invitations, or communion invitations. I liked how I was able to design a theme that fit my color scheme and theme of my wedding. My invitations matched the colors and even the flowers found in my bouquet. I also like the fact that I could print extras for free since I had the files and paper myself. Thrifty and economical, what more can you ask for?

Poor Hubby
My husband definitely has a mind of his own when it comes to appearances. I like a certain type of guy and usually, my husband fits that mold. He does have his hillbilly tendencies to dress terribly country which can annoy me but I still love him so. The one thing that he tries to do that annoys me more than anything is how he keeps trying to shave his head completely bald. I’m sorry but I do not want a hubby who looks like he needs to invest in a year’s supply of hair loss product. Why does he insist on doing this? Why me?! Lol.
