Nightly Rituals
One thing my mom has drilled into my head is the need to take care of my face now so that when I am her age I don’t have wrinkles and bad skin. Each night I have a ritual of washing my face, using moisturizer, and then putting on night cream. I take pride in my skin and with the help of a night cream from http://www.nightcreams.org I’ve noticed a lot of change in the smoothness. Since I have hypothyroidism, my face dries out easily and a moisturizer isn’t enough to give my face a smooth surface. My facialist explained how important it was for me to use a night cream now since that would give even more added moisture. Thanks to her recommendation, I’ve noticed that my face is a lot smoother after adding in the night cream to my nightly face ritual.

A Healthier Me!
One thing I promised myself that I would change after I got married was my attitude and lifestyle when it came towards my physical well being. I have always been a stress eater and thanks to a knee injury I am a far cry from in shape. So since we tied the knot, I am happy to report I have lost ten pounds where hubby dearest has probably gained ten pounds. He has been cooking his own meals that consist of greasy and fried foods while I have been a good girl and ate healthy foods. I also have been walking a lot more which I am trying to build up my stamina when it comes to my knee. I’d love to be able to walk far distances without my knee throbbing. I know I will be able to do that soon. Another thing that I have done is ab workouts. I did a little research online and found a few that I could do myself. At first I was skeptical but with a little faith and patience I actually can do the workouts without feeling as if I am going to die five minutes into them. It’s amazing how much better I feel. I am proud of the work I’ve accomplished in a month!

Woes of married life
One big adjustment of being married is realizing that you are responsible for your significant other’s bills as well as your own. This normally isn’t a big deal but it seems that Jonathan and I both have medical bills so that just means we are even more so in debt than before. Thanks to my crappy school schedule and his back injury, we’re currently having to live off of my financial aid and his SSI check until he is cleared by his doctor which hopefully will happen next doctor’s visit.
I really hope he can find a job once cleared that has benefits. He has Medicare since he is on SSI but I have no insurance. I don’t think I qualify for Medicaid but I am going to try to apply anyways. A health savings account just isn’t an option for us either. Since I have medical problems, it’s a necessity that I have some type of insurance and especially if we are hoping to try to start a family soon. That’s yet another reason we are hoping his doctor clears him. We can’t really move on with our life or even move out of my mom’s house until we have a substantial amount of monthly income which we currently do not have. Hopefully things will get better and his doctor will clear him. I am really trying to not give up hope but I’m slowly losing my faith.

Dreaded Random Search Time
Yes boys and girls, it’s back to the random web searches since I am officially bored out of my mind these days. It’s the days of searches for all things bizarre like Symbol LS2208 and the like. I know, I really should find a hobby since that would be a lot healthier than these random web searches I entertain myself while bored but I can’t help it. I can remember a month ago when I’d kill for a free day and now said free days are driving me insane. Thank God school starts back this coming Monday. I’m ready to have something to do all day!

Easy Times
Since I started at Highlands, I’ve greatly missed the days I had at my old technical school. Having to write three papers a week is for the birds I tell you. I miss the lazy days when my biggest assignment was recommended a project management software or some other online software to a pretend client since that was basically what we did in my classes at the technical college since my major had to primarily do with computers and the internet. Now, I am lucky if I have any time left in the day to browse the internet whenever I am not in school full time. I’m just trying to keep my chin up and remember that I only have two semester left after this Summer semester and I will at least have a degree to show for all of my hard work.
