I was tortured, seriously!
For a while now, I’ve had these bumps on my arms and my skin keeps breaking out over my body. It’s like chest acne but it’s always on my underarm area and sometimes on my chest area. Since I am getting married in like 10 days, I decided I should go visit my doctor about all of this. I also had a skin tag under my arm I wanted removed and was hoping she could put a stitch around it so it could easily fall off painlessly.
The bumps on my arms I’ve had for a long time and my past two doctors could never figure out what was wrong with me. They just kept putting me on antibiotics that caused me to gain weight profusely. So when my doctor took the scope/light thing they use to look in your ears, nose, and throat, I was quite surprised and feeling a little more confident about my doctor’s abilities. She actually looked into the bumps in my arms and told me I had this skin problem that causes my glands to get clogged and the itching/pain gets worse for the bumps when I get hot because my glands are so clogged that they can’t sweat. I was like holy cow, that totally makes sense! So now I have a shampoo to use on my whole body and then a lotion to put on my arms. She said the shampoo should unclog all my glands and put my skin back in tip top shape. I was very relieved because I don’t want to walk down the aisle with blotchy arms.
Next came my doctor talking about my skin tag under my arm. I seriously thought she’d put a stitch around it and then it’d just fall off on its own. Oh no, I was completely wrong. She told me she could cut it off and it wouldn’t hurt. Hey, no pain and it gets off immediately .. I’m all there. Damn, she was so wrong. It hurt so bad it’s not funny. First off, she used surgical scissors but she couldn’t get it all off with one snip so she had to go snip snip and then it was off. The first snip was painful enough but the second one about killed me. After it was cut off, blood started gushing out of the wound like someone was squeezing a lemon. That made me woozy and feeling a little sick because I didn’t want to bleed out. She put some stuff on there to make it stop bleeding but that didn’t work so she wanted to use Nitrate sticks. Holy crap, those things hurt seriously. I literally came up off the chair when she kept putting one on my wound. She had to go through five sticks before my arm would stop bleeding. Once it stopped I thought I’d have no more pain but I was wrong since she took this huge sticky bandage and covered my whole under arm. I didn’t think anything about it until we started trying to take it off five hours later. I definitely know I have a patch of no hair where the bandage was. I was crying a little when we took the bandage off but that wasn’t even the most painful part either. The most painful part was trying to get all the adhesive off that the bandage left. In fact, I still have adhesive on my arm because there was so much left on there and it didn’t want to come off. Ugh.
Hopefully since I am about to hop in the bath that all the adhesive will come off. All I know is that it hurts when your arm keeps sticking to the side of your body especially since its the under part of my arm and that is the most sensitive! I will definitely be rethinking having something else removed from my body but I do know it was worth it in the end. Now I can dance at my wedding and have fun without fearing that my skin tag will be in photos or somebody will say something about it! I now have a smooth arm and am glad! Well, I need to hop in the tub so I can go run errands with my mom. We have a lot to do so I will blog later. Until next time, later loves!

Facials & Such
This past Friday, my mom and I went for our first facial. Oh man, it was so relaxing! I felt like I was in Heaven, seriously! At first, I was kind of scared because my face has been breaking out and what not due to stress but the girl reassured me that everything would be okay. She obviously knew what she was talking about because here I sit almost a week later with a clear face that shines. I’ve always had big pores on my nose and that has bugged me but since receiving the facial, they aren’t as noticeable. That really made me happy. Aside from the pampering to my face, I also got an arm and hand massage and a foot and leg massage. I was so relaxed afterward that I almost fell asleep in the waiting area while my mom was getting hers done.
I don’t think people realize how big of a deal acne can be to some. I automatically assume that if I walk into a room, everyone will know when I have a break out. It makes me terribly self conscious. I was looking up a skin id review before I went since I was considering swapping from Noxema to the SkinID products by Neutrogena but now I don’t have to. I actually purchased a face cleanser and moisturizer from Stella Blu, the place I got my facial and buy my make up from. They both were expensive, $120 together to be exact, but it has been well worth it. My face is a lot softer and has a glow to it now. I am actually getting a little excited to have my wedding day pictures just so I can show everyone how my skins has changed. I don’t even have as bad of under eye bags anymore which used to make me extremely self conscious since on some mornings I looked like a raccoon! Thank God for Stella Blu!

It makes my heart brighter
I have always been the type that has had the best of intentions but never went the extra mile to help others. Yes, I know I just admitted that I was a crappy person but I never realized then that helping others makes my heart shine brighter. Now that I’ve realized that, I have been helping out at our church’s clothes closet and Angel Food. I love helping others. Aside from all the talk about prenatal vitamins during the clothes closet, it’s been a lot of fun. My cousin is pregnant so we always talk about how she’s doing, how far along she is, and then of course baby names. I am so excited because her first child, Ava, is our flower girl and she is so adorable. I can’t wait for another Ava since they are having another baby girl and they already have her named picked out. They chose to name her Klara Marie which I actually like. My cousin liked Klara because it’s Russian and since our heritage is Ukrainian, he figured that was close enough.
The whole baby thing is seriously making me even more excited to get married and start our family sometime after our first year of marriage. We would start immediately but I have a weight loss goal to meet and luckily for me, Jonathan is totally supportive of that!
Read MoreReady to grow up!
I have just kind of had it with everything going on. I am so ready for May 1st to get here and be completely over. I can’t believe everything I have to do before the big day. I honestly thought that before the wedding I’d have a little breathing room since I have already booked all the vendors but every day something else seems to creep up on me. Seriously, when will it end? I want to be over this and be worrying about term life insurance or some other adult-like concern instead of the color of tablecloths and etc. Two weeks and counting!

A new alternative
There is one thing I cannot stand and that would have to be being around a smoker. The smoke clogs my lungs, makes my eyes puffy, and gives me a horrible headache. I am quite sure you can tell I’ve never been too keen on the bar scene because being in a smokey bar just isn’t my thing. My cousin has been trying to stop smoking forever and has tried everything. She was searching the internet one day and saw an ad for an e cigarette. So since she had tried everything else, she ordered one. The e cigarette has helped her curb her smoking and is now down to two cigarettes a day and plans on stopping smoking completely within the next month. I am so happy for her because I know this is a big feat for her. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for her but at least her journey is almost over!
